Washoku; 炉端かば(robatakaba)

In japan, there are many kind of seafood.
The reason is that japan is surrounded around sea.
People can enjoy to eat many kind of seafood in various area and four seasons.
This time, tokyo geisha will introduce washoku restaurant ‟robatakaba”(炉端かば).
 ‟Robdatakaba” is from Sanin area in Japan.
Sanin area is Tottori prefecture and Shimane prefecture.
The area is along Japan sea, seafood taken in japan sea is very good.
Robatakaba provides the area's local foods.


Tokyo geisha ordered set sashimi meal and bowl of rice topped with sashimi.


This time, it is including Tuna,Sea bream,Squid, Chub mackerel in Sashimi.


This time, bowl of rice topped with sashimi has crab meat and paste.
Crab is famous in sanin area.
Crab grows in the sea where the temperature is low.
Crab suits the enviroment in Japan sea.


Sashimi is nice and fresh.

 

At‟robatakaba”, there is a japanese sake menu.
The japanese sake is made in Sanin area.

cafe; Fru-Full

For several years, pancake is very popular with japanese people.
New pancake cafe has been increasing in Tokyo.
At supermarket, there are various instant pancake foods.
This time, Tokyo Geisha will introduce pancake parlor ‟Fru-Full” in Akasaka.
In Akasaka, there are many restaurants. But, ‟Fru-Full” is located in the queit and seculuded area.
At ‟Fru-Full” pancake is very famous.
If you went to the cafe on weekends , you might see the cafe that has a long line.

 
This time, Tokyo Geisha ordered pancake, a cup of coffee, and strawberry parfait.
Strawberry parfait is seasonal parfait.
 
 


At ‟Fru-Full”, the chef hungs up to purchase good fruits.
Strawberry that ‟Fru-Full” uses is made by renowned farm house.
Especially, the chef  are using strawberry which is beautiful size and beautiful color.
‟Fru-Full” 's  Strawberry parfait is very beautiful.


 

The strawberry is nice and beautiful.
Whipped cream and strawberry are good combination.
In the parfait, there is a strawberry ice cream.




Speaking of pancake, the pancake is cooked with time and care.
It takes for 15-20minutes.
It is simple style, and it reminded japanese people of traditional japanese pancake.

Ramen; づゅる麺(jurumen)

In meguro, there is a shopping acade at gonnosukezaka street.
This time, Tokyo geish will introduce ramen shop ‟づゅる麺”(Jurumen) along the slope at Gonnosukezaka street.
Generally , it is said that business like running restaurants is difficult at the slope.
Dispite the theory, Jurumen has a long line sometimes.

 

This time, Tokyo Geisha got the ticket's ‟味玉つけ麺”(tsukemen with egg) and ‟らーめん”(ramen).


In the shop, there is the document in the frame on the wall.
The document is written jurumen's safety commitment.e.g. we stick to use natural ingredients.


Tsukemen is famous at Jurumen.Tsukemen is one of the japanese ramen.
Soup is served separetely. when eating tsukemen, customers pick up the noodles with chopstiks and put the soup bowl.
Soup is not big, but it has a strong flavor.
Jurumen's tsukemen noddles are useded by three blended japanese flour, the soup is cooked by chicken and fish without chemical seasoning.
Before eating tsukemen, it become fresh taste through squeezing of a lemon to the noodles.





The noodle is crunchy and good taste.

The noodles and the richer soup are good combination.



 After you finish to eat all noodles, you are able to get the ‟wari soup”.
 ‟Wari soup” is adding the ramen soup to drink the ramen soup.
 You are able to ask for getting the wari soup, it is free of charge.



 At jurumen , there are ordinaly ramen.

Washoku; 新橋 お多幸(Shinbashi Otako)



Have you ever eaten Japanese real Oden?
Oden has a long history, one theory holds that Oden has roots during the Heian Period which is 900 years ago.
Tokyo Geisha will expalin for you who haven't ever seen Japanese real Oden.
Oden is a hot meal that boils up large pans of various ingredients, e.g; raddish, fish minced and steamed,giant kelp,fish sausage,octopus,beef, konjac,boiled egg, rolled cabbage and so on.
Oden is based on soy sauce soup.
Oden's soup isn't for drinking, the soup is for flavor with ingrediets.
Oden is one of  the Japanese traditional food, Japanese people love it.
Especially, Japanese people like to have it in winter. Convenience stores sell  Oden, it is easy to buy for them every year.
Recently, Convenience stores from Japanese Companies sell Oden in Asia ,e.g. China, Tahiland,Indonesia. It is said that fans of  Oden have increased in Asia.
This time, Tokyo Geisha will introduce  Oden 's restaurant ‟Shinbashi Otako”which is well-established store.
‟Shinbashi Otako” is established in 1932.

In Japan,  Oden has various tastes depends on area. Oden from Tokyo has roots during Edo Period when richer soy sauce was developed.
‟Shinbashi Otako” provides traditional Oden from Tokyo, the soup is based on richer soy sauce.
The Oden is black color, but the taste is not too spicy and nice. The Oden provides about 25 type of Oden.Craftsmen are cooking and preparing for customers in a careful manner.
‟Shinbashi Otako” includes seasonal vegetables in the Oden menu.
It is difficult to choose, assorted the Oden depends on number.Of course, you are able to order the Oden what you want to eat in the menu.
Also, it is said that the Oden is excellent with Japanese Sake.
In there are two types of drinking, cold sake(‟Reishu”in Japanese) or hot sake (‟Atsukan”in Japanese).
Japanese businessmen like to order the Oden and Atsukan.

‟Japanese Masterd”
It is very spicy. If you like it, you are able to add the Oden to it.

 
‟Shinbashi Otako”provides sliced raw fish ‟Sashimi”, grilled fish ‟yakizakana”, grilled chicken‟yakitori”,salad and so on.
